You have trouble graphing equations on your own, so your homework grade is low. You hire a tutor. The tutor focuses a lot of energy on making sure you understand all the small steps you keep missing when graphing. You:

are annoyed because you're trying to get a good grade by making sure your homework's done correctly. You just need the tutor to walk you through the problems.
don't mind one way or the other as long as you get a good grade.
